Hello!
If you are looking for someone who can teach you how to become a well-rounded musician with practical skills and a solid knowledge of musical styles, then you've come to the right place. My name is Juliann Boyd and I teach ukulele. My teaching rates are a reasonable $65 per hour.
I am an experienced music teacher with 19 years of teaching experience and 25 years of performing experience, including studio work, stage, film, and television.
My students experience a set of fun, light-hearted, and unique lessons which seamlessly weaves the traditional ukulele styles with newer styles. Songs come from a variety of genres including Nostalgia, Folk, Blues, Country, Pop, Rock, R&B, Hip Hop, Ragtime, Jazz, Classical, Hawaiian, Metal, TV & Film Themes, and Christmas. My students are not limited by stylistic boundaries. They are able to perform to the extent that their natural ability and personality allow. There is much emphasis on taking any song, including one of your own compositions, and making a satisfying ukulele arrangement for it, either with or without vocals.
