Vital Healthcare Training Center, based in Kent, Washington, provides Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC/CNA) education and caregiver training aligned with Washington State Administrative Code (WAC 246-841-100). The CNA program totals 108 hours (33 lecture, 35 lab, 40 clinical) and is offered in a 5-week weekday hybrid format or a 7-week weekend in-person format, with clinical rotations included. Tuition includes CPR/First Aid/AED certification, textbook and workbook, and a blood pressure apparatus, and the program prepares students to sit for the state exam.
Admissions requirements include a TB test within 12 months, facility-dependent COVID-19 and flu vaccination, passing an intake exam and background check, and a $150 enrollment fee ($75 refundable within five business days; $75 non-refundable supply fee). A 3% surcharge applies to card payments.
For current Home Care Aides, the HCA-to-CNA Bridge is a 5-day in-person course with skills lab and clinical rotation. The center also provides CNA state skills testing.
Additional courses include Dementia Specialty Training (8 hours), Mental Health Specialty Training (8 hours), Nurse Delegation Core (9 hours) and Diabetes focus (3 hours), Safety and Orientation Training (5 hours), and First Aid/CPR/AED by appointment. Continuing education and a CNA resume and interview preparation workshop are offered.
