I love meeting new people and watching them get excited as they discover their own creativity. They learn to recognize that mistakes can be your best friends and while there are techniques in art, it's also an outlet to truly be yourself. It's like watching a child visiting Disneyland for the first time and seeing their excitement, enthusiasm, and anticipation!
Very fun, relaxing environment. Step by step help. Very attentive. Everything is provided, so you are able to paint to your hearts content! Give them a try!
Cre8ive By Design is a full studio with all the supplies you need and Lisa is a very patient and knowledgeable teacher. I am looking forward to many more lessons with her!
FUN! FUNNY! FANTASTIC!
The positive inspiration and guidance!
I focus on acrylic painting, provide all the supplies that you will need, and pretty much let you paint from the get go. I tend to instruct, guide, and encourage the student while they are painting. This helps the student to face a blank canvas with confidence, expand their creativity, play around, make mistakes, and mostly learn that mistakes can be their best friends. Size of paintings will be 8x10 or 11x14 and can be on canvas paper or stapled canvas. The medium used will be determined per painting.
My degree is in Digital Animation and Graphics, however, my passion has always been in acrylic painting. I was the art docent for my daughter's 6th grade class and had alot of fun teaching the kids fun projects and new skills. Currently launching a paint party studio for public painting sessions and private lessons.
My pricing starts at $15 for a 60 minute lesson, however if you pre-purchase 6 sessions, the 7th session is free.
It started with family and friends and having craft and paint parties in my home. My passion has always been to teach art and have day camps and now that dream is coming true.
I've worked with students of all ages, literally from 3 years old to senior citizens. Some students have been somewhat experienced and some have never lifted a brush. I have also worked with special needs students with hearing loss to down syndrome. One thing they all have in common, they enjoy watching a blank canvas turn into something they made themselves!
We had a Mother's Day private paint party and it was for grown women and their older mom's. The ladies bonded in a fun new way, in a safe enviroment and learned how to team build while discovering their own creativity. This is what I love to see develop and be accomplished.
Make sure the teacher has a passion for what they're teaching but more importantly also encourages that passion, with joy, in you, the student.
Think about what they really hope to learn or accomplish in the lesson. Can the student be creative or are they restricted to the lesson. What does the teacher expect from the student?
