I love meeting new people and watching them get excited as they discover their own creativity. They learn to recognize that mistakes can be your best friends and while there are techniques in art, it's also an outlet to truly be yourself. It's like watching a child visiting Disneyland for the first time and seeing their excitement, enthusiasm, and anticipation!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
You will learn the elements of art. brushes, techniques, blending, and your masterpieces will reflect what you learn. By the 7th lesson you will feel pretty comfortably trying your own paintings which is really encouraged throughout the classes. Each class is an hour long, and the 7th class is free. I look forward to helping you nurture the budding artist in you!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My degree is in Digital Animation and Graphics, however, my passion has always been in acrylic painting. I was the art docent for my daughter's 6th grade class and had alot of fun teaching the kids fun projects and new skills. Cre8ive by Design Studio is my in-house studio for paint parties, lessons, craft parties, and production of creative crafts and gifts for my shop. Art Friendzie is the portable brand of my studio, where the parties and lessons come to you, either in-person or virtually, (currently lessons are offered in-studio or virtually only).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing starts at $15 for a 60 minute lesson, however if you pre-purchase 6 sessions, the 7th session is free.
How did you get started teaching?
It started with family and friends having craft and paint parties in my home. My passion has always been to teach art and have day camps and now that dream has been coming true for 3.5 years now.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students of all ages, literally from 3 years old to senior citizens. Some students have been somewhat experienced and some have never lifted a brush. I have also worked with special needs students with hearing loss to down syndrome. One thing they all have in common, they enjoy watching a blank canvas turn into something they made themselves!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We had a Mother's Day private paint party and it was for grown women and their older mom's. The ladies bonded in a fun new way, in a safe enviroment and learned how to team build while discovering their own creativity. This is what I love to see develop and be accomplished.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the teacher has a passion for what they're teaching but more importantly also encourages that passion with joy, in you, the student.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about what they really hope to learn or accomplish in the lesson. Can the student be creative or are they restricted to the lesson. What does the teacher expect from the student?
