I have a beautiful 1000 sq ft teaching studio in my home in Woodinville,WA. I offer a freindly and upbeat approach to teaching. Most of my students come and stay with me for years. I have personally studied with many well know and rspected artists through nearly forty years of painting exclusively in watercolor.
I teach adults exclusively and enjoy their personalities, interactions with each other, and their life experience shared . We are a community of friends now and love the creative energy we share.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I work exclusively with adults. I typically start a new student with a few private lessons to evaluate their skill set, look at the materials they have, critique the work they may have already done, and make recommendations if necessary. I will demonstrate my process and give homework in brushwork and painting shapes and values and edges. Then I provide photos for students to use for creating their paintings.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied under more than thirty nationally known watercolor instructors over a period of forty years. I have been teaching watercolor for thirty five years.
