About
I teach a hands on method for giving clay expressive form and texture using affordable tools. They are the same methods I have developed over the curse of 4 years in my practice of creating organic sculptures that I sell. With 20 years of professional experience creating 3D art, and 9 years of teaching young college students how to approach three dimensional design, my low-tech and proven techniques will help to demystify the sculpting process. Students that dedicate themselves will quickly learn how to apply such methods for achieving expressive and captivating forms.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first access where they are in skill set and understanding of art, and of physical forms. I also try to learn what their end goal is that drives their interest in learning how to sculpt. Knowing this will guide me in setting up a lesson plan that is custom tailored for them. I layout a course of action with practical assignments that are paced to meet their commitment to learning the material.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Design from the College of Architecture, U.of F.. I've also worked as an artist in the Video Game industry for more than 20 years.
