Hi, my name is Mario and I'm a local touring guitar player in the Seattle Area. I've been playing music for 10+ years and been in touring bands for 5. My biggest musical influences are definitely Jason Richardson and Mike Knopfler! Do you just want to write songs? Be the fastest guitarist ever? Just like to jam around? Lets make it happen!
You will come out of each lesson with something to practice and really add to your musical arsenal! I like to tell my students to really study the music they want to learn what made you want to learn that riff? I primarily teach electric guitar, but I can also teach acoustic and bass.Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!
I absolutely love seeing the moment in which either a musical concept or a guitar riff "clicks" with the student! Makes me feel incredibly accomplished as a teacher and excited to see how the students' playing is shaping up!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically like to go over an potential prior knowledge in order to get a good assessment of where their musical abilities currently lie. Afterwards I'll go over their musical preferences ie, what artists or bands they may like and want to learn songs from!
Then we go over some basic music theory, the parts that make up a guitar and how to fret some basic chords!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Shoreline Community College for an audio engineering degree and currently am teaching at School Of Rock as well.

How did you get started teaching?
I started as a fill-in teacher at school of rock before eventually becoming full-time.
What types of students have you worked with?
All kinds of students! Primarily ages 8-18!
Have taught a couple of adults 30 and up as well!
