What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Get to know the student before instruction begins. Set personalized goals, and create an action plan to achieve those goals. Do a series of short activities to determine what learning style each student has.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
American Red Cross certified instructor - can certify students in Adult, Pediatric, and Child First Aid/CPR/AED
USA level 2 certified Instructor - can certify level 1 Instructor, as well as teach Archery classes.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a variety of students, ages 4-82. I will accommodate for all ability levels whenever possible.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Tell your potential instructor how you learn best. Do you like visual aids? Do you like written instructions? Do you like to hear verbal step by step instructions as you go? Or do you learn by doing?
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What is your ultimate goal? Do you have a timeline in mind? Are you willing to practice in-between classes?
