Endeavour English
About
I have 12 towards a Masters in TESL, a BS in nautical science, and a minor in oceanography. I make the learning enviroment for the students to be fun and enjoyable, using Krashen's Theory of Second Language Acquisition (LAL)-"the natural method". This teaching method gives the student an active intrest in learning and can be applioed to any subject. I have traveled much - Europe, Asia, Central and South America, and lived in Russia, studying the language, and teaching maritime English. My background is maritime (Captain/Chief Mate in commercial shipping). I am a sail instructor at the CWB on Lake Union and have been a docent at the Seattle Aquarium. I am also a privet pilot, scuba diver, and photographer. With my experience, I bring understanding and enjoyment for the students's learning environment. I am a conscientious and diligent teacher who is willing to help and learn.
