I like to draw everything so I have a wide knowledge base of a lot of different aspects of art. Photography, pencil, watercolor, acrylic, how different brands perform.
I educate myself with hours of YouTube on different techniques. I like to treat my art studio space as a laboratory where I can experiment with different creations. It’s always an ongoing learning process.
I am super adaptable I can sit with a 4 year old and explain art or do plein aire outings and draw nature scapes with friends. And lead them through how I would approach the subject matter. My teaching style is “flow” there’s no rigid one way of doing something correctly.

I have taught classes at Blue Skies Art Studios for 2 years managing a group of children ages 3 to 10 and up to 10 students in a class. I pay particular attention to learning style and adapt accordingly. Now for adults I can manage the same with empathy. I prefer to use multimedia in my own work. Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to sit down with a new student with art media and talk about their goals. What kind of art job do they want in the future or are they pursuing it as a hobby. What kind of media do they like to work with and which artists inspire them to create. I also like to take the time to initially talk to them to learn their study style and look at any portfolio work they have done.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an artist for 20 years. It’s second nature to me. I have worked at an art studio with children each with different learning styles for 2 years in Redmond, WA. I am self taught. I spend hours watching crafters and artists on YouTube.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge 50 dollars for 1 hour. Then half for each additional hour.
How did you get started teaching?
Teaching just comes naturally to me. I want to persue my degree in teaching English as a Second Language. I’m good at listening and watching people in their process.
What types of students have you worked with?
My studio experience is with a group of about 10 children ages ranging from 3 to 16.
