About
I am an artist and intuitive. As a Process Painting Facilitator I help you to tune in and bocome aware of your own intuition whic inturn is a place of healing that can give you a sense of renewal and excitment for life. Process painting is a fun, creative way to release creative blocks and get in tune with your freedom and self expression. It's also a way to release tension. Process Painting will help you develop your creativity and imagination. By painting without a goal or specific image in mind I help you to keep moving and to connect to the process as you feel the passion and own the images. We use tempera paint on paper, all materials are provided.

I am a graduate of the Artist Trist Artist development program 2009.
I received my MFA in Fine Art from University of Southern Californin in 2001.
BA in Painting and Drawing from Universty of California, Santa Cruz in 1981.
I have worked primarily as a sculptor making Giant puppets that can be seen at fairs and festivals in the Pacific Northwest. My work can be seen at lovettarts.com
I love creativity and enjoy seeing each person glow through their process. What they learn through creative awareness and focus, intuition becomes stronger because we give it attention. Because we stop editing our intuitionit grows stronger, and you become more certain about your own energy. It's an experiential excercise in being present. It's validating the process. I love that expereince, and I want to share it with others.
I also love color, paint, and paper. The paint is immediate and tactile bringing presence more into the body. I also teach grounding as a fundamental tool for being present.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I introduce them to the concepts of process art, which is be free, enjoy being a painter for a day. In my calss you can enjoy the paint, the paper, the colors and shapes. paint from your presence, your inner eye. I teach basic tools, brushes, paint and water. I also teach inner tools of story, time, and presence and awareness. This is about the student and helping them tune in and become free.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have extensive trainingand practice in Fine art; painiting, drawing, craft and sculpture. I also have worked as a graphic artist, and I currently work as a meditation teacher at Psychic Awakenings in Seattle.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $130 per hour for groups of up to 4.
$450 for 4 hours of studio time.
How did you get started teaching?
I have taught workshops and classes. Trained in facilitation for a Unesco and Fndhorn Foundation collabrative week long course in Paces Training and Facilitation in 1993. I studied Process Arts facilitation, and I opened a small process arts studio. I currenly work in my studio at the Good Shepard Center.
I sometimes lead ensembles and run giant puppets and luminaries at events.
Workshops have been in: paper maché, giant puppet making, 3 dimensional reed work for luminaries, silk painting.
In 2017 I taught Fashion Ilustration and Visual Arts with in the after school program, Smart With Art.
