About
Teaching clarinet lessons has been my passion since coming to Seattle in 1990. My lessons comprise of two studies formatted into one lesson:
(1) music appreciation
(2) the art of teaching the whole student instead of just their fingers
As an innovative educator Maryanne is currently a Silverstein Artist and RZ Clarinet Artist and works with colleges and universities throughout USA.
Maryanne is a member of the European Clarinet Association and the International Clarinet Association and regularly attends annual conferences presenting master classes and recitals.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Finding their level and then moving forward with the best choice for progress to the next level.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Masters of Music in Clarinet Performance from Juilliard School of Music. I am also an Artist/ Clinician for RZ Clarinets based in the Czech Republic and the Silverstein Ligatures which is a company based in Hong Kong.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are 30 minutes for $30, 45 minutes for $40 and 60 minutes for $50.

Middle school through college
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I'm currently playing in Dubai on a concert tour. I had the opportunity to present masterclasses at the prestigious Mozart Art Center working with some ama zing students from the UAE.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Know what you want to achieve before you commit.
