Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
In your first contact with us, we'll want to know everything past-present-future specific to the student's academics. We'll also get to know them personally. Using that information, as well as your location and availability, we will match you up with a StudentCircle tutor.
All StudentCircle Tutors offer a first consultation free via Zoom. No tutoring occurs during the consultation. Your tutor will use that session to more deeply understand your current level and struggles. Following that first meeting, StudentCircle staff will be in touch to confirm the arrangement.
How did you get started teaching?
As an at-risk youth, I credit a tutor with changing the course of my life. I seek to provide the worldly, well-educated, and successful tutor who I know can alter the trajectory of a life.
I began StudentCircle living out of an artist's commune in Seattle in 2015. I had just arrived on a one way ticket from NYC to a strange new city, intent on starting a business in this coffee-fueled startup metropolis.
We have helped over 500 students achieve their goals in writing, mathematics, language, and science.
