Visual Art With Danielle
About
I'm a Denver native and Seattle resident who has been a practicing and exhibiting artist for over a decade. I've studied at Shoreline Community College and Metropolitan University of Denver, and actively participate in my local arts community. I believe that a strong arts community is crucial to the wellbeing of any city, and I am passionate about expanding mine through positive direction and education.
My lessons are tailored to the individual needs, goals, and skills of my students. I believe it is my job to provide the necessary tools to enhance everybody's unique voice and style on a flexible individual basis. I'm excited to help you bring your vision to light!
As a fine artist, I love that I never stop learning from the people around me, be them students, teachers, associates, or local hobbyists. There is a beautiful exchange that happens when people of all different styles and lives come together and share themselves through their art.
Personally, my work has provided me with a safe place to be playful, brave, confrontational, and vulnerable. In addition, I have been able to use my art for various charitable causes within my community. I love that I'm able to amplify the voices around me, build awareness of causes that are important to me, and fundraise effectively with my art.
And I LOVE making a mess!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I initially like to have an informal conversation in which I can identify my student's goals and visions for their artistic journey. This helps me get to know my student on a more personal level, and allows me to assess the direction my teaching will take. It also helps determine the supplies we'll be needing when we officially begin!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Fine Arts at Shoreline Community College (Seattle, WA) and at Metropolitan University of Denver. In addition, I have been active within my local arts communities for over a decade.
