About
Please note: I ONLY TEACH IN OLYMPIA AND GIVE GROUP CLASSES HERE IN A VARIETY OF ART TECHNIQUES. MY ART BUSINESS IS ARTPEACE.
l have worked as both an Artist and an educational consultant teaching creative thinking and its development. To this extent, l have been highly marketable because l usually can turn most situations into an exciting and creative one. I have had several Artist in Residence positions in university, colleges, high school and communities. I have taught many workshops throughout my forty year art career and love teaching very much. I am a very hands on and use a “ theatrical” approach to teaching, which means l am animated, engaged and know how to systematically get my students to truth themselves by giving them a relaxed and safe environment in which to create. I was a Danforth finalist in Classical Sculpture, a grantee 3x of the Polaroid corporation for their large format camera in Photography, 2 painting awards (1 cash) and 3 regional Emmy credits for documentary work at Ch 5, Boston, MA. I was a state wide art judge for 3 years there and was the Art Representative for Outreach to artists at the Artist Foundation for 3 years. I was an Artist Trust recepient 1993 for excellence in Art.
I love teaching because l absolutely believe everyone has innate creative abilities and my joy is in helping to unlock those inherent capabilities in every student who takes my classes and workshops.

Students want positive feedback. I encourage my students to not just look for outside responses but have a strong sense of their own inner creative value first.
