I had many fanstatic coaches in my life and want to pay the game back for my successes. I have coached on five continents and in 16 countries. I have gained so much and want to pass on those experiences to the next generation. I do this as a hobby, that I am very passionate about. It's not about the money. I don't want to price any faamily out of following their children's dreams.
Your son or daughter will have short, but specifc home work assignments to do between sessions to instill the lessons learned and those about to be learned. They will be led through many of the life lessons that the game is built upon, which in perspective, is the most impotant in the sporting experience. Sportsmanship, determination, focus, appreciation, work ethic, and so on. Also, printed out stories, topics, and motivational undertones will be presenteed daily.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It is very important to find out what makes an individual tick. What are their dreams and how important is it to make strides toward those dreams. All this, by ensuring they are enjoying the process at the same time. Getting better at anything is difficult, so hard work mixed in a fun atmosphere is essential for growth.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Played three sports at Eastern Washington University and coaches two sports while esrning a Master's degree at Michigan State U. Coaches three sports during my 30+ years as a high school coach. Have been a clinician (speaker) at baseball seminars in 12 states and seven foreign countries. Have attndeed over 80 baseball conventions, listening to and learning form amazing coaxhes from all corners of the planet.

How did you get started teaching?
I greatly appreciated the dedication my teachers and coaches demonstrated to me, while growing up, and I wanted to be like them. After I retired from teaching HS, I continued coaching all over the country and the world. I love what I do and want to assit others to love this great game and see how much they can gain from it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have coached 65+ players that eventually played in Major League Baseball. Too many to count, that moved through minor league baseball and at the college level.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
This past summer I coached in the Maverick Baseball League in Salem/Kiezer's Volcanoe Stadium. It was an Independent League made up of ex-minor league and collegiate level players. Four teams played a 50-game season against top level athletes looking for an opportunity to play at the next professional level. Working with a former high school athlete of mine, 17-year MLB player, Alan Embree, was a treat.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Successful people surround themselves with successful people. Find a coach/teacher that is beyond knowledgeable and has you as a main focus. One who takes his job very seriously. Be thankful, that you are lucky enough to have parents that are providing you with the opportunity to grow. Then the ball is in your court. Be attentive and very willing to work hard on what is being shared.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1. Is he/she a person I can trust and am I willing to do what they say?
2. Can he answer your questions and if so, is he diligent enough to go to someone else to get the answer for you if he doesn't know it?
3. Don't stick with someone who tells you he will get you a college scholarship or a professional offer. That is a common selling point that doesn't sell. No one can get you to the next level but yourself. Listen to your coaches and work hard at every practice to climb that baseball skill development ladder.
