I’ve developed a personalized, easy and unique teaching method proven to teach beginners as well as help intermediate players become more advanced by breaking music down to a simple foundation which can be solidly built upon.
Each musician and musical style has unique characteristics but with a solid base of knowledge you’ll learn new songs quickly, with personal expression and confidence.
We won’t spend a bunch of time on tedious things like playing positions, how to hold a pick (or not) yet at the same time I can help you from developing bad habits ergonomically and in your playing which could come back as a hindrance as you progress.
Knowledge of music theory, though helpful, isn’t necessary and can honestly sometimes complicate matters or create lullaby type songs. I’ll teach you enough to know which rules to break to keep your tunes from sounding like Twinkle Little Star.
It’s important to trust your ear and know the mechanics of the construction of music whether you’re playing cover tunes or writing your own.
Think of my courses and teaching method as a series of road maps that are designed to keep you on track while allowing you to choose your own musical path and destiny.
