Damian is an amazing teacher! I have some experience with painting but didnt feel confident with anatomy or how to find my own style in my work. In a few sessions I was doing own thing rather than copying and Feeling much more confidence about doing my own projects.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

This is NOT a cookie cutter course, this is tailored specifically to you and your artistic needs.

Each class is a one on one 2 hr session in which the student leaves with not only all the basic information needed to use the chosen tools and materials including airbrush but also a finished work that included the steps and styles that interest them; ie portrait, anime, graffitti, tattoo as well as difficult materials like leather metal and plastic.
This is meant to get you working on your project or tools asap.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

20 years of direct client and customer work with names like Mcmenamins, Adidas, Nike, City of Portland, Timbers Army, State farm, Columbia sportswear, etc.

Including 10 years teaching airbrush.

This is NOT a cookie cutter course, this is tailored specifically to you and your artistic needs.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

How did you get started teaching?

I have taught acrylics and airbrush for ten years from children to adults. From local volunteer programs to classroom settings and corporate group projects I have worked in a wide cross section of the Oregon art market. The saturday market 15 years ago where I started airbrushing is where I ran into a local demand for painting and airbrush lessons.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have taught acrylics and airbrush for ten years from children to adults. From local volunteer programs with the state and city to classroom settings and corporate group projects I have worked in a wide cross section of the Oregon art market. From experienced pros who want to expand their skill set to include airbrush to young artists who just love drawing and want to start going in a specific direction.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Airbrushing costumes on to people on the spot at the Portland erotic ball.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Be selfish about your needs. you have a direction in mind even if its not clear to you yet. Data without direction is wind on a sale when you dont know where your going.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What do you make?

Will you sell it?

How will you sell it?

Who are your customers?

Most importantly what makes you draw or paint?
