About
The Regina Noel Music Studio is know for exceptional music education, and excellent rapport with students of all ages, beginning at age 4. Regina focuses on solid music fundamentals, and covers a vast amount of musical styles as well as teaches specific techniques for each (as well as age appropriate teaching strategies). The emotional well-being of each student is especially important. Students receive special care to ensure learning is safe, fun, challenging when necessary, and absolutely possible for all ages and abilities. Beginning students enjoy a multitude of music games, including both hands on and iPad programs, as well as access to the studio prize box as a handy motivator. Vocal students will really thrive with an accurate understanding of vocal registration and how to access each of the main vocal registers for a variety of styles. And ukulele students will get just how fun and simple ukulele can be!
The studio holds multiple performances each year, including live Zoom performances during Covid. The studio strives to offer as many performance opportunities as possible for students to really shine. Our YouTube channel is an added bonus for students wanting extra exposure.
Regina is a certified vocal coach/teacher through the New York Vocal Coaching Company, as well as holds a BA in music from Luther College, and an MA in education from Grand Canyon University. She has been teaching music since 2004 - and is just as passionate today as the day she began.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step in working with a new student, is to build a positive rapport. Having a teacher that can connect with a student, at their level, is priceless. In this process, I'm also assessing overall strengths and weaknesses - in learning, musical ability, and personal struggles that may affect learning. I'm making mental notes right out of the gate about what areas need focus, and what approach may be best that particular student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my BA in music and physical education! I also hold a MA in Elementary education, and have completed the New York Vocal Coaching Teacher's Training program. I have been teaching music since 2004, and have been studying and performing myself since I was 9! I have taught preschool music, small group instruction within the studio, and organized/arranged/planned for countless studio performances and events over the years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are $40/half hour, or $80 an hour. Tuition is due the first lesson of the month, for the month. There is a $25 annual registration/tech as well.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching, honestly, when I was in high school! Flute lessons! I was first chair in band, and younger students wanted to take lessons from me! I guess it really just grew from there.
What types of students have you worked with?
Children as young as 4, adults in their late 60s, teens, college students (music majors, theater majors...), and special needs students. I have also taught students how to teach, in the roll of "studio assistants". And I teach piano, voice, and ukulele. I have people come for everything from jazz, to rock in roll, to Broadway, to classical...you name it! And I have students come just to get a grip on basic fundamentals, as well as "music therapy".
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Oh my gosh...there are so many! I cry at every single recital. Even the Zoom ones!! I'm always so, so proud of all my students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The MOST important thing, is establishing a good rapport. After that, ask questions to determine if that teacher is qualified to help you meet YOUR goals. If you want to sing rock and roll, studying with a classically trained vocal instructor who does nothing else, will not help you. Lessons are a huge investment! A good teacher can really make it or break it for a student.
