How did you get started teaching?
At first just showing friends what I learned at my lessons.
After graduating the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, I was hired as a student teacher for the Rock department.
What types of students have you worked with?
ages from 4-94
all styles, all personalities. everyone is unique and has a story.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently, I was visiting my brother in California. We explored redwood forests, the Pacific coast, and the Angel Island State Park. We even got some guitar playing done. It was great!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Practice daily! Make your instrument part of who you are.
You get out of it what you put in to it.
