About
Learn how to paint or illustrate at your own pace! In one hour, I will be able to teach anywhere from basics to experienced creators! In these classes, two hours long, you will learn blending, shading, lighting, contour, and more!
As an artist, I have been painting with acrylic for over five years and illustrating for a lifetime! I am passionate about fantasy and esoteric paintings and love illustrating with charcoal, chalk pastel, graphite, oil pastel, colored pencil, and ink. A former MIAD student, I can help you to reach your potential!

I have been a passionate illustrator and painter for most of my life. What I enjoy most about what I do is observing growth where I once struggled. Constantly trying new brushes, mediums, and techniques, I try to keep an open mind and know when to step away for the night and come back to it later. This always helps me to recharge and have a new perspective when I need one.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will begin with basic shading techniques for any medium before moving on to layering, depth, shading, and shaping. I will start wherever you are to meet your needs and move forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Having practiced art most of my life and a current student majoring in art therapy, I am trained in several mediums and techniques. I have shown work around Milwaukee and am ready to help you do the same.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $40 per session and plan one to two hours to help you end your lesson feeling comfortable with the material provided.
How did you get started teaching?
As a corps member, I have worked with freshman teaching creative and logistic content. I currently operate groups of 12 or more people and feel absolutely comfortable in front of an audience. I love it!
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages from 6 - 35 anywhere on the spectrum of ability. I do not take clients who have also attended art school or have graduated in a related creative field. My lessons are for beginning, amateur, and moderate illustration or painting ability.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently participated in an all women's vendor event meant to help women grow and support each other. While working on mini space paintings, I had the privilege to meet many new entrepreneurs and sell some cheap artwork in the mean time. :)
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure to observe the photos within their portfolio on their profile page before deciding which teacher is the right fit for you. Everyone has a different style, and while I would love to teach all of you, I can do specifically what my scope of expertise allows me to share.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How much time do you have available; not just for the class, but also for the practice required for personal growth?
How well do you interact with online learning?
Where are you on your growth journey?
