Ran into a former student of mine. She's now 86 and still paints. I'm so proud of her because she was so nervous starting oils at the age of 79!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find one you resonate with.
Don't rule out working directly with an artist if you cannot find classes you are looking for.
