My granddaughters started with Mr Carl at ages 4 and 6 and we are really happy with their progress. He has infinite patience, provides clear instruction, is encouraging and sensitive to their individual learning styles. He has a knack for teaching children that they really respond to. The girls are progressing nicely and they love going.

Carl is an amazing talent. Im a Senior that wanted to learn Piano. When I was a Child I had taken private music lessons for playing the Organ. I returned to music a few years ago after buying a Piano and discovered that this wasnt so easy. I decided I need to take some lessons. At first it was difficult for me to play without being nervous Stage Fright at my lessons. How do you learn if you dont play your lessons in front of your instructor? Well Carls easy going encouragement got me on track. Just under a year with taking lessons from Carl, I have gotten much more comfortable and confident. Through Carls encouragement I have gotten involved with a Piano Club that also built my confidence to play for an audience. I have worked through numerous songs from Classical to Jazz and some old Rock n Roll. Carl has taught me how to study a new piece with many tools from within Music Theory. I highly recommend Carl for a Piano instructor for anyone from childhood to older adults like myself.

As I am a more experienced student, I not only get the feedback of what I need to be working on and how to go about things, I also get the music theory side of things, with him telling me why things were written the way they were, but also different ways that it could have been written to get the same or a different effect. He’s a really nice guy, and I look forward to going to my lessons every time.

The biggest thing I think would be goals and direction of the study. There are many different types of music that students like a they should look for a teacher that can address their desires and expectations.
