MMA And Krav Maga Lessons
About
With over 15 years of experience in Mixed Martial Arts (Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Dutch Kickboxing, Catch Wrestling), Krav Maga (1st degree Blackbelt Instructor under Black Belt Schools International and Certified Krav Maga Instructor), and past experience in competing in Mixed Martial Arts I offer a curriculum that is based on real world application first. For those who want to better themselves, get in great shape, and learn real-world applicaple Martial Arts for self-protection or for competition.
I enjoy assissting people to become better, stronger, and more empowered than they were the day before. I believe in leading a peaceful life but being able to handle potential dangerous situations through training. This balance is conveyed in a Chinese Proverb that states:
"Tending the garden is a relaxing pastime, but it does not prepare one for the inevitable battles of life. It is easy to be calm in a serene setting.
To be calm and serene when under attack is much more difficult; therefore, I tell you that it is far better to be a warrior tending his garden rather than a gardener at war."

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start with a foundational level of activity (stance, footwork, basic punches, kicks, etc.) and evaluate where we go from that point on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a first degree Black Belt Instructor under Black Belt Schools international certified Instructor. I began my training in 2004 in Mixed Martial Arts. Something called Krav Maga also caught my eye after being robbed at gunpoint in the summer of 2004. I have worked with and on fight teams (sparring, grappling, conditioning), fought in mixed martial arts competition, worked as security, and generally maintain a well-rounded understanding of the Martial Arts in the world of competition versus real-world survival. I have a passion for empowering people to become better than they were yesterday.
