About
Chris Lupo is a skilled and accomplished personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach with over 25 years of experience. Chris started lifting weights when he was a chubby 12 year old. Since then it has been a passion of his and a significant part of his life. He played 4 years of High School Football for the Ocean Township NJ Big Red Spartans. As a Senior Chris was nominated to be Tri-Captain of Varsity Football. Chris went on to play 1 year of College Football at Northeastern University in Boston MA, and 1 year of Semi Pro Football, but recurring knee injuries forced him to put that behind him, and focus on his true passion. Chris dedicated himself to gaining as much knowledge and practical experience in the field of Exercise, Fitness and Strength & Conditioning as he could by attending several National Conferences and/or Seminars each year.
Lupo earned his first personal training certificate through FRA (Fitness Resources Association) and AFFA in 1993. He completed his college internship at the USDA Human Nutrition and Research Center (HNRC) on Aging at Tufts University in Boston. During his internship at Tufts, he worked on a two-year longitudinal study that investigated the effects of Strength and Power training on improving functional capacity and reducing falls among elderly women. In 1996, Chris graduated Cum Laude from UMass Boston with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. He then accepted a position with the USDA HNRC where he continued his work on the aforementioned study. Later, as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Seton Hall University, Lupo trained athletes from Women's Volleyball, Golf, Swimming and Diving, Women's Softball, Baseball, Tennis, Track Throwers, and Men's and Women's Basketball.
Between 2000 and 2007, Chris worked as Personal Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach in California. In 2007, Chris and his wife Lisa moved to Montana, and in 2009, the Lupos opened CrossFit Bozeman which they successfully owned and operated for five years. In 2014, they sold the gym and have since relocated to Gilbert, AZ, where Chris continues to operate his Online Program development and Personal Training business.
Now at age 47. Chris continues to share his passion by helping people make life changing transformations in their bodies and minds. He truly enjoys teaching clients how to create the lifestyle and mindset that is necessary to do so. Chris practices what he preaches, living each day with health, wellness, and nutrition at the forefront. His personal Obsessive Commitment and Dedication to Fitness is a powerful example and motivating force for the clients and athletes he serves.
