About
My company is involved in residential and commercial finance. We maintain and foster relationships between private equity groups, hedge funds, institutional and investment banks. We also deal with syndication and raising capital as well as intense problem solving for our clients both on our investor side as well as those we help get financed.
Success in this type of business means you are able to locate opportunities and solve problems. It also means that you have to have the necessary leadership qualities in order to have all parties not only come to the table but to believe and trust in your solution that they are willing to put their money into it to see success. Marketing skills are also essential as you must be able to find investors for your clients and/or bring projects and opportunities to your investors.
Interpersonal skills are necessary as you must be able to connect with those individuals or entities you need very quickly as high net worth individuals may only have three or four minutes to talk to you at first. After successfully connecting you’ll find they have hours a day if you desire it.
Essentially everything boils down to having absolute vision and desire. About knowing exactly who you are and what you want. About knowing where you are going and how to get there. About who you need on your team and being able to quickly recognize those who are meant to help you on your journey and those you are meant to help.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically I find out what the need is that someone has, and more importantly if there is an underlying factor that is causing that need to be there. That way time is conserved, for example if you want to improve three of your attributes you could focus on developing one at a time, or perhaps there is a foundational skill that you could hone that would naturally raise your abilities in all three areas at once.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the banking/financing/investment world in some form for over 15 years. I have worked on everything from retirement accounts to financing someone’s personal residence to financing multi billion dollar international infrastructure projects. In doing so I have had to develop a diverse and large network and foster deep relationships along the way.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I start at $100 per hour for anything related to personal development and general skill improvement.
I start at $200 an hour for anything that involves financing.
I start at $300 am hour for anything that involves structuring and solving complex issues for financing and selling deals $5+ MM.
I start at $500 per hour for anything that involves acquiring projects or investors or anything involving syndication or bonds, notes, or funds. Or for anything that would involve someone from my personal network to become involved
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I worked for the state in law enforcement. I became the training sergeant as well as an Field Training Liaison in charge of the field training officers and their field trainees. I have taken as well as taught a myriad of different leadership and sales courses.
What types of students have you worked with?
Everyone I have helped was either new to their industry or seasoned professionals. I have never approached it as a student teacher relationship, rather a mentor relationship. In my opinion those who cannot do, teach. Everything I offer is from my personal experience that is ongoing because I am actively involved in my industry. I also expect those I interact with to be doing and practicing the principles and strategies we discuss and to learn by doing. Also anyone who considers themselves merely a “student” is probably not a good fit for me as I have certain expectations from those I choose to spend my time with that a student would simply be unable to fulfill.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The things I am most fond of are successful deals. Taking something that is nothing except a thought and by connecting the right people and solutions turn it into a reality and create jobs, businesses, and cash flow. That being said, events that I am fond of happen multiple times every month.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Very simple, don’t. I have already spent tens of thousands of dollars in this arena. A vast majority involve teachers who have either never been in your industry or haven’t worked in the field for so long that they have no idea about practical applications for the principles they are trying to teach. Most “teachers” in sales and marketing are simply selling gimmicks in my book. And they may work in the short term, but have no benefit in the long term or in developing your career. Do not find a teacher. Go and find a mentor who is actually succeeding in the area that you are looking for success in.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are the fundamentals and core values that you are looking to develop? Who are people that you admire and why? Who are the five people you spend the most time around? What is your definition of success?
