What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I personalize the learning by asking what they want at the end and we achieve it step by step, dialogue by dialogue until students are satisfied.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's degree in Deaf education. I have been teaching for 10+ years. I am in my second year of teaching ASL to high school students.

How did you get started teaching?
It was my goal to be a teacher since I was in high school. I realized I enjoyed helping the teacher out and getting my classmates to do their work easier with my guidance.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked in wide-ranging K-12 positions including mainstream schools, Deaf school, and itinerant positions.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Watching my students in the classroom get better and are able to communicate with each other in ASL is a blessing and a great joy of mine these days.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Start out with a trial for a few classes and see if the relationship is a good fit, then follow your intuition if you feel like it's a rewarding experience.
