Children Signing & Stories, LLC

Children Signing & Stories, LLC

I am a parent of an inquisitive 7 year old.  We began our ASL journey together when I had researched the benefits in teaching my son at an early age how to communicate before he could form words.  I found Baby Signing Time to be the best in giving us the ability to learn and grow together with this as our second language.  In addition to being our second language, it became an amazing tool to use in learning to discuss our emotions, communicating in loud environments and, my favorite, making a bond between us that is strong.  The benefits are endless. I became an Instructor to pass this passion on to other families who wa ... View Profile

To this end, we strive to provide quality foreign language instruction to all ages, with a focus on our youngest learners. In our age of increasing globalization, we believe that fluency in a second language is invaluable and that it is never too early for our kids to start developing their multilingual skills. In fact, our capacity to learn new languages lessens as we age. As such, we aim to serve a niche that is often ignored—younger foreign language learners—because they have incredible potential to gain fluency and are preparing to en ... View Profile

I started out as a young teen singing folk, Gospel, opera, and Broadway music winning awards (Most Improved Singer), contests (Delaware PIN Contest), and scholarships up until my senior year of college. I graduated from Heidelberg University with a Bachelors in Music specializing in Vocal Performance but was not ready to continue on to my Masters.   I had realized another love, teaching, during those four years in college and needed to explore it more. We're All Math Here

We're All Math Here

Students like when I tutor them because they know how patient I am. I know math can be difficult, depending on the topic. Having said that, patience is important when tutoring math students because you can easily get frustrated if you don't understand the problem. I am also very flexible with scheduling, which is something my students have appreciated. Students have a hard time getting the help they need when there aren't tutors available to help them. The same can be said for any other subject that I tutor. ... View Profile
