Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know them a little and understand what they want out of lessons so I know what to help them with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend California State University Northridge and am working towards a Bachelor in Music. I have taken Private Lessons for three years under multiple instructors.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $25 an hour for lessons as I am still a college student. This way I can start with beginning and intermediate students and then later recommend them to another instructor.

I have had practice teaching my peers and younger students through section leading aand volunteering at middle school.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with middle school students primarily.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask yourself what your goals are in recieving lessons or what you would like to learn. Lessons can be expensive and it's important to look for an instructor that gives you the quality of education that you want.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Anything! It can be intimidating learning an instrument so anything that comes to mind can help make it an easier process.
