I've been an active performer/educator in the Columbus area for years. I am currently the Violin Instructir at Capital University, and perform regularly with Columbus Symphony as well as various other organizations. Along with traditional classical training, I have experience in different styles of music including jazz, rock, pop, fiddle/country, and on. I regularly am the violinist for the CAPA Broadway series. Learning to play an instrument involves practicing. Wow, what a stupid sounding statement. Practicing is only marginally profitable unless you know “how” to practice. I could tell you right here, in a few words, how to practice and you might say, “ Well, of course, anyone would know that.” The problem is, knowing and doing it two different things. I have been playing violin since the age of three and trombone since age ten and my love for music has only grown since then. I received my BA in trombone performance from OSU in 2016. I've had the opportunity to travel all over the world performing on cruise ships and with various orchestral and jazz groups.
