Frequently asked questions

Everyone starts with different gifts and areas to grow in. No one has the same goals, the same outlook or reason for being an actor. We start there... then apply industry standards and expectations (audition room, representation, on set, etc) and we build. :) Knowing what you want and when you want it is a great place to begin. Your pace, pupose, and ability will shape the process a great deal. 

Over 30 years successfully writing, directing, producing, casting, coaching and entertainment business consulting. "The Actors Room 50 Original Monologues & Tips For Success" went to #3 on Amazon's Best Seller List. 

Keeping it cost effective is important, knowing most actors are living on a tight budget and their resources are limited. 

Typically:

4 week "Group Acting" classes, beginner and master $325 - 1 class per week taken consecutively. 2 hours per class

4 week "Business of You" class: $125 - 1 class per week taken consecutively. 1 hour per class ($85 if also attending the group acting class)

"Specialty Classes" range in price according to subject matter and length of class.

As a Director, Producer, and Writer of 80+ commercial, television and film projects (seen on major networks and streaming platforms, in a multitude of markets worldwide) - I found my passion in passing that experience and knowledge on to the 100's of acting clients that have attended The Actors Room.

My production company, LCP Film Partners, LLC recently released a feature film, "Fragile Heart". This small budget, but powerful message, film is now playing on most platforms worldwide (Prime, Apple TV+, Google Play, YouTube TV, Up Faith & Family, VUDU, hoopla, and many others). Fragile Heart was named Amazon Prime's #1 top selling DVD, across all genres, for several weeks in a row. The best part - many of the Talent, in the film, were participants at The Actors Room. They went through the casting process, like the 100's of other actors auditioning for roles - but they booked it because they are well trained... of course. :)
Growing as an artist is a necessary part of reaching your acting goals. Agents, Managers, Casting Directors, etc. all want to see that you're investing in your craft. You want to be the best artist you can. Find a coach that brings out the best in you, your talent and level of experience. Find a coach that has a strong knowledge of current industry expectations (or they'll teach you antiquated techniques). Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses, an experienced coach knows that and will accommodate the actor's process. Equally important is growing in a professional, friendly, and safe environment. The studio you work in should allow you to feel comfortable, challenged, and supported. Be prepared to give as much as you take. No matter what level of development you need, it's knowing you'll get where you want to be that makes the journey worth taking and the training meaningful.
