About
I have an engaging fun personality, I really believe that ANYONE can be an artist with the right teaching and I believe in empowering my students to reach their inner creative and find passion in their art.
I am a fine artist who does work on commission base with mostly portraits of people, animals, landscapes and still life.
I specialize in realism, but also love interpretive work and Impressionism.
I’ve been working as a professional artist since I was 18 years old and have taught children as young as toddlers, all the way to our most wise!
I’ve trained with master artists since I was a young child and specialize in pen and ink, graphite/pencil/charcoal drawings; watercolor, acrylic, and oil paintings.
I am happy to travel to my clients homes so they can have a full set up at home and not have to bring equipment back and forth for classes. And I teach individual students, group classes, and paint and sips! So I’d love to be considered for your next private lesson or event!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start by assessing your goals, your interests and what training you’ve had already, if any. Then I like to see what type of art you’ve already done on your own. We then tailor your lessons to meet your exact goals and also introduce some new concepts or mediums you may be excited about.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have done 6 years of training with master artists one on one and in group lessons and 2 years of university art course work.
As well as early childhood education and development courses and psychology courses and development courses in educating people of all ages.
I’ve also had courses on public speaking and presentation.
I’ve been teaching and assistant teaching for over 20 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
In Home private art lessons start at $150 per hour and go up based on location
Group lessons depend on the size of the group and start at $250 per hour for 5 students.
Paint and sip nights will be discussed based on size of class and equipment needs.
How did you get started teaching?
My passion for art myself and my skill level led many people to request lessons. I found that I’m just as passionate about teaching others the freedom of creativity as I am about creating a piece myself. With art largely being removed from our schools I feel it’s important to pass on these skills and build self compassion and the confidence in each of my students to create their truth!
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages and backgrounds!!! And I love the uniqueness of getting to work with such a diverse set of students!!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Personality and the level of connection you have with your instructor is key! You will at a much faster rate and build your confidence in your craft so much faster with someone who is just as excited to teach you as you are to learn. So I definitely encourage an in person or video chat interview first!
Also check their background if they will be coming to your home.
I am also a Mother Baby and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse and Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. You must hold an impeccable background check to be able to work in these areas and I’m happy to provide proof or submit for a brand new background check at your request.
