About
I've been an artist my entire life. after completing art school, i began working as an advertising illustrator that led me to winning some local editorial illustration awards. i had an agent in new york for a few years, but decided to move to los angeles and work for the movie/tv industry next. so for the last 28 years, i have been creating artwork used as props in film and tv . although some of my work involves craft projects, most of my jobs involve drawings and paintings. I have learned to draw and paint in a variety of styles and techniques. My favorite style is highly realistic , and i favor drawings and portraits . I can paint in acrylic, watercolors, inks , and gouache. I do not paint in oils. I also had a few classes in fashion illustration, so i can draw in that style as well. I used to teach drawing to fashion students at a fashion school. i enjoy encouraging artists to try new things as well as learning from the masters. I would be happy to teach teenagers and adults drawing or painting styles they might want to learn .
i love being an artist. and i enjoy seeing my work on tv and in films.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find out from them what their goals and expectations are to see if we are a good fit, and to see if i can help them attain those goals. process would depend on each students needs. I would go to their house or studio, bringing my own supplies. and of course give them a list of supplies to purchase. 2 hours is the minimum time for a class or tutoring session, 1 hour just isnt enough time to even get started.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to art shool graduating with a major in illustration, but excelled in portrait art and fashion illustration as minors. Everything else i've learned and practiced on my own.
