About
Art has always been an important part of my life, and I never stop learning and growing as an artist. I firmly believe that learning the fundamentals of drawing and design is an indispensable part of a foundational set of skills that everyone needs to master to progress to the next stage - creativity. My main goal as an art instructor is to help others learn the necessary skills to be better equipped when it comes to experimenting with their own creative ideas. Consequently, I always try to bring out the best in my students and give them time and opportunity to grow and achieve high standards. Likewise, I always encourage my students to have fun when exploring art because that is the best way to grow as an artist.
The best thing about being an art teacher is being around students who are excited to learn and create interesting images to their satisfaction. Every student is unique, and I conduct my art lessons based on their individual needs and interests. For example, one of my students was decent in drawing but needed help improving her skills both in traditional and digital painting to be accepted to one of the most rigid high school art programs in the city. My approach was rigorous and strategic because the deadline was approaching. In a short period, I helped her prepare her portfolio, and she was admitted to the art school of her dream. Therefore, she got into the program and took first place in an art competition.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process is first to get to know the student and gauge what they know about the subject. Once their skill level is determined, I develop lessons to satisfy the needs of each student. In my teaching approach, the first thing I tell my students is not to be overwhelmed by the process, but rather enjoy the process. Anything can be learned with time and practice, as long as the students are having fun.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned a bachelor's degree in Media Arts and Animation and a master's degree in Fine Arts: Illustration. After I received my master's in Illustration, I worked for 10 years as an art teacher at the school while working in the movie industry as an assistant storyboard artist. Last year I opened my own art school in North Hollywood where I provide individual and group classes to students of all ages.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have recently started hosting Art & Wine events that are becoming very popular among adults. It is a pleasure to indulge in a relaxed atmosphere with nice people and help them create a unique painting.
