Josephine is originally from Seattle,WA but passed through NYC where she went to College and now makes LA her home. She strives to help each personal training client achieve a more balanced mind and body connection through exercise and nutrition. Josephine focuses on functional training for every day life as well as building strength and burning fat. She has worked with a diverse set of clientele from athletes and celebrities, to stay at home moms, both pre and post natal as well.
She is an NCSF and NCEP certified Personal Trainer and an AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor. Other Certifications include TRX, Kettlebell, Circuit Training, and Spinning. She teaches group Fitness at Toluca Lake Tennis and Fitness Club as well as Optum/Plus One Corporate Gym. Her formats include Bootcamp, Strength Training, Cycling, Body Bar, Sculpting, and Circuit Training. Josephine has been featured in many Fitness Dvd's such as Celebrity Trainer Brett Hoebel's 20 minute body, Group/Music RX Dvds, and Gymra Online Fitness Videos.
My workouts are challenging and effective! I listen to the clients needs and provide them with an individualized workout plan, no cookie cutter programs, or one size fits all mentality here. I always mix up and change my routines. I love to keep things fresh and exciting so no one gets bored! I am constantly learning new techniques and programs so I can offer my clients the newest, most up to date information on fitness. I have multiple Certifications. I am an NCEP and NCSF Certified Personal Trainer. AFAA Certified Group Fitness and Indoor Cycling Instructor. Kettle Bell Certified, Circuit Training Certified, TRX Group Fitness Certified, BOSU Balance Ball Certified. Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first session consists of going over goals, health and nutrition assessments. Then a workout. Each session is one hour.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified NCEP and NCSF Personal Trainer. A certified Group Fitness Instructor through AFAA. A certified Sports Nutrionist. I am constantly getting certified in new formats i.e. tabata, kettle bell training, Circuit training etc, and reading books, articles, and finding out information from peers and mentors, that have been working as a PT for many years.
