I love seeing people's Aha moments when they begin to get in touch with the wisdom of their body and allow it to lead them forward. Everybody is unique and responds to a different set of learning tools. The Pilates and Yamuna body Rolling Methods are accessible to everyone and are very effective in guiding you safely to move and feel better in your body.
I have been teaching fitness for over 20 years and specilizing in teaching movement from a more holistic approach for most of them. Pilates is where my body began to thrive and transform as a mover and what I love to share about this method. I have studied functional and experiential anatomy from many angles as well as taken many courses focusing on special populations.

I start people out with a 3 session introductory package, so you can see if we are a good fit for working togther. In Pilates, we assess you in movement, rather than in a static posture, so we want to get you acqainted with how movement feels on spring based systems and give your body a small adjustment period as well. The exercises you do on the Pilates apparatus all relates to movements that you will do in your life or sport. This also gives us an avenue to tailoring your sessions to your movement goals.
I have completed 2 comprehensive Pilates trainings, one 450 hours and one 950. And I hold a Pilates certification from the Pilates Method Alliance.
I am a certifed practitoner of the Yamuna Body Rolling and the Yamuna Foot Fitness methods.
I am also certified by the American college of Sports Medicine as a exercise physiologist.
I have taken continuing education throughout my Pilates and fitness career to better understand the body, its anatomy and learn what systems affect our movement body.
My introductory package is priced at $50 each for an hour session.

I got stared teaching Pilates when I realized that traditional fitness methods were not positively changing my imbalances and knew I needed to learn more about the body to over come my cycles of repetitive injuries as well as chronic hip pain.
I work with adults of varying ages and have specialized in helping people overcome their fitness plateaus due to pain cycles, prior injury or a recent surgery. I have been trained to work with those with osteoporosis, as well as post natal women. Most issues or injuries involving creating a new relationship and understanding of the core, so it is a common thread in learning to build balanced strength within the body.
I would advise people to check out different teachers and their credentials and try them out. Find someone who is compatile with your persoanlity and fitness needs and really understands the Method and not just a bunch of exercises.
