About
Welcome. I have over 20 years teaching pilates and fitness to individuals wanting to move better and feel better in their bodies and be more in control of their movement life. I am a fully certified Pilates teacher and specialize in helping people get unstuck in their movement progress with a Pilates-based, brain-based approach to gaining strength, mobility, and balance, that will change the quality of how you move through life.
These Methods are personalized to your brain and your past movement experience. The brain is actually the master of your moving body and we can speed up your progress by tapping into the inputs that are not well received by your brain.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start people out with an introductory package, to introduce the Pilates method and see if we are a good fit. In Pilates, your movement is our assessment, so in the beginning lessons we observe your strategies, tightnesses, places where you move from, and where you may be stuck. This gives information on what else to include in your program, for example, mobility exercises or release work that will help you be successful in your fitness endeavors. Pilates exercises replicate natural, functional movements that you do in life and challenge even more in a sport. The Pilates Method is training for your best life.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed 2 comprehensive Pilates trainings, one 450 hours, and one over 950 hours. I hold a Pilates certification from the Pilates Method Alliance.
I am a certified practitioner of the Yamuna Body Rolling, Yamuna Foot Fitness methods as well as the complete Yamuna In Bed program.
I have taken more than the required amount of continuing education throughout my Pilates and fitness career to better understand the body, its anatomy and learn what systems affect our movement body. My understanding of how the body works allows me to quickly hone in on your weak areas and design a successful program for your needs.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My introductory package is 4 private sessions for $250
I offer private and semi private lessons. We recommend starting with the intro package to see if we are a good fit. We will then recommend a package best suited to your goals and budget.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching Pilates because I wanted to help people learn how their movement program can help relieve and in most cases eliminate chronic pain. You can get strong and fit without beating up your body and working from your own starting point to feel and move better in your body. Pilates is good for everyone! I am passionate about helping people feel better in their bodies. I took Teacher Training in California and Washington state and Canada and taught for over 10 years in a recreation center as well as several studios and have most enjoyed teaching individuals as I do from my home studio.
The progressions as well as the philosophy embedded in the Method keep you on track and engaged with moving forward and feeling good throughout the process. It is adaptable to all body types and levels. It corrects imbalances, relieves pain, and leads you to your true potential.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with adults of varying ages and have specialized in helping people overcome their fitness plateaus due to pain cycles, prior injury, or recent surgery. I have personal and professional experience helping people manage and often reverse their osteoporosis diagnosis, as well as supporting women through and beyond pregnancy, menopause and life changes in general. Most issues or injuries involving creating a new relationship and understanding of the core, so it is a common thread in learning to build balanced strength within the body.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise people to check out different teachers and their credentials and try them out. Find someone who is compatible with your personality and fitness needs and really understands the Method and not just a bunch of exercises.
