About
The Christian Rodrigo Actors Studio is a safe place to grow as an actor and a human being. By enjoying the art of living under imaginary circumstances, you’ll find the tools and confidence you’ll need for your acting career. We offer group classes, workshops, intensives, and private coaching in English and/or Spanish.
Christian Rodrigo has been working as an actor for more than 15 years and he has trained with the best Acting coaches all around. He has appeared in 10 feature films, 40 short films, and in some plays and TV episodes. Christian has coached many actors from all over the world, helping them to get the most from their performances and/or auditions with great success, but especially, he helps them enjoying the ART of LIVING AND BEING TRULY UNDER IMAGINARY CIRCUMSTANCES.
After he started teaching, he realized that the emotional obstacles and blocks that students bring with them are the real reason why they find it less easy to just enjoy the power of BEING in the stage instead of ACTING. So he gives them tools to free themselves to work with their instruments (their BODY, their VOICE, their EMOTIONS, and their IMAGINATION), so that they feel more secure, become better performers, and enjoy more their crafts on set or on stage.
He is the founder and festival director of the international theater festival, the Brisk Festival. He has been invited to be a part of the Directors Unit of the prestigious Actors Studio West for the academic year of 2019-2020.
He is a member of SAG-AFTRA, the Professional Actors and Directors Association of Catalonia (AADPC), the Film Academy of Catalonia, and an actor and teacher at The Actors’ Gang theater company (Artistic Director Tim Robbins). He is also a filmmaker and producer.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Any actor needs a coach to prepare a role. I have a large experience preparing actors privately. If you’re in need of a private coach to prepare an audition or to work on a specific role for a film, Tv, or a theatre project, you can work on one with me. No matter where you’re physical since there are different options to work with me. It could be either in person or via Skype. I can also help you prepare a self-tape and record it for you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve had the chance to train with many wonderful acting coaches and techniques, but Meisner and Stanislavski’s approaches are my main inspiration every time I have to portray a new character or face a new challenge in my acting career.
I think that the job of an actor is to live truly under given imaginary circumstances, as Sanford Meisner used to teach to his students. I believe that magic appears when actors are completely engaged with their characters and their scene partners, and forget anything else.
I love being able to make people feel, dream and think. It’s such a joy to explore and play with our emotions and share them with our audiences.
How did you get started teaching?
I had a long experience as an actor and as an assistant director. I started teaching because my fellow actors told me that I was really good at giving them advice for their performances, auditions... So I decided to create my acting studio to help other actors grow as artists and human beings while combining that with my acting, director and production career.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with any type of artist. From film and TV established actors to newcomers. I love working with passionate actors who love what they do and that are ready for enjoying the process of growing as actors and human beings.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would suggest working with someone that gives you the tools and environment to feel safe while working on your craft, and that could help you free yourself and guide you positively in the process.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I'd suggest thinking why would you like to become an actor or why would you like to improve your skills, or work on a specific material.
