What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always like to call, meet, or email with my new student prior to teaching so I can find out where a student is, what they want to accomplish and create a sequence accordingly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 400 hours of teacher training through Corepower.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $80 an hour whether I am instructing a group or an individual.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always been drawn to yoga and meditation since I was a little girl but really started to experience the benefits of the practice after having to get ten of my vertebrae fused to correct scoliosis.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages, backgrounds, ailments, etc. Yoga is for everybody and every body.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of the drum circle and acroyoga session that happens weekly in Ocean Beach where I can go and embrace my own expression.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise a student to choose a teacher that they are comfortable with. Someone they can trust to guide them through a safe and intelligent sequence.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Am I ready to see improvement in my physical, mental, and emotional bodies?
