As an actor, I had the marvelous opportunity to have one of the true Hollywood legends as my acting mentor, Clu Gulager.
As a composer I have had several iconic mentors including Hollywood Film composer, Elmer Bernstein.
As a professional musician/conductor I have had the opportunity to study with and perform with many of the biggest names in both popular and classical music.
All of these experiences help to make me a unique educator and mentor. But the best thing I can say, is... Its not about ME, its all about YOU!
I enjoy helping students to find those life-changing "ah-ha" moments of discovery. I am extremely patient, positive and encouraging. I am honest with my assessments and opinions. I have a unique set of performance skills as an actor, a professional musician, conductor and composer. I love nurturing the creative and natural talents of my students. It is exciting to help my students acieve their own personal goals.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to establish what expectations the student and concerned parties (parents, teachers, directors, etc.) have from me as an instructor/coach and what expectations I have for my student. I find it best to find set goals and then some achievement points along the way to help measure progress.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
For Music - I have a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Tuba & Low Brass Performance plus a Doctorate in Music Compsition. I have a been a professional music/conductor and composer in addition to being a high school and university band & orchestra director. My Concerto for Jazz Trumpet and Orchestra may be found on iTunes, on Spotify, on SoundCloud and at Disco.ac
As an actor, my mentor is Hollywood legend, Clu Gulager. I have been in 6 feature films, 3 informercials, numerous commercials, and a host of student films & shorts. I have a demo reel in IMBd. I am currently in a film streaming now on Hulu, Amazon Prime, T-Mobile Cable, On Demand, Apple TV, etc. It's called A PRAYER FOR THE DAMNED.
