I am a certified (AAFA)Personal Trainer/Group Fitness Instructor. I have been in the fitness business for 20 years. My journey began as a fat little girl, fat teenager, fat young adult. I began my fitness journey in my early 30's. I believe my personal and professional experience gives me an edge with clients who are obese...i know the deal!!! I welcome an opportunity to discuss more about my experience in the near future.

My fitness program is about teaching my client's how to choose fitness and health goals that are attainable and sustainable, regardless of current condition (age, fitness level, limited mobility), through mindfulness. I teach clients (who are ready) about how their emotional and mental state is the KEY to their SUCCESS, regardless of the current condition. 

My clients must be open to learning how mindfulness is the key to a successful life, including health and fitness. My approach is not for individuals who are looking for the “normal” fitness program.

I always say that I have the best job in the world. I get to help others, keep myself fit, have some fun and make some cash!! It doesn't get any better than that!!

Nothing makes me happier than when I have a client who couldn't do a proper pushup when she/he started and after focus and consistency, she does her/his first one!!!! However, the best part is seeing clients discover who they really are.

    I loved Sandy's consistency and work out mix. I really enjoyed attending Sandy's class. She works you hard and push you so that you get the results you want. She offers modifications for every exercise to keep everyone motivated and moving. She take the time to provide helpful and effective tips regarding eating healthy. She has a great personality and her energy will keep you motivated and wanting to come back for more.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I request new clients meet with me before we start fitness program for orientation. During this time the body analysis and fitness assessment are conducted. It's also an opportunity to get to know my new client and answer any questions or concerns he/she may have.

I am a. Personal Trainer certified by AFAA

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My pricing is based on the number of sessions and distance to travel. 

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching fitness sessions approximately 20 years ago when I lived in GA.  I went into the gym obese and unhealthy. The owners of the gym noticed my focus, determination and results and approached me about teaching classes and becoming a trainer. The rest is history! I absolutely love what I do!!

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with clients of all ages, fitness levels, as well as clients with limited mobility.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I strongly recommend that you choose a trainer who is committed to safety, correct form and who will listen to you. I don't recommend trendy, extreme workouts. Trainers who focus on the total lifestyle of the client are the best in my opinion.
