Christina W. says, "Lance has been an absolute gem to my daughter. His instruction has guided my 14 year old daughter, to create amazing portraits that in my opinion could have easily been drawn by an adult with years of training!! Lance's unrivaled instruction, has my daughter growing in leaps and bounds in only 3 months!! He shows interest and care with his students. In short he is a top tier instructor!!!" Read more

Suzie M. says, "Just want to state once more how much i am a fan of your work, there is something deeply intense and critical in personal sensibilities and modalities of your  art works. Amidst a plethora of art, you manage to say something very different. And this is why i was so keen to work with you. " Read more

Sonah M. says, "What Andres a great teacher is that he listens to his students carefully. He is excellent at teaching values, colors, temperature, edges, and drawing. He teaches how to compose pictures and sets up still life arrangements with great detail. His explanations are easy to understand, and he snakes even complex concepts simple and does so quite effectively. He responds to questions promptly, always keeps his promises, and engages with his students rather than teaching in a one-way manner. He is very patient and demonstrates painting and drawing techniques, offering a wide variety of methods. I highly recommend him at any level. He can meet you at your level and make you grow." Kim G. says, "Alfredo is one of the most prodigious and skilled artists I have ever met. He makes his personal skills easy to understand and communicate and the way I have grown as an artist in the past 3 years with him is beyond anything I ever expected of myself, let alone something I ever expected an artist to be able to communicate to another person as a teachable skill. If you’re on the fence about hiring him, please do yourself a favor and do it!" Read more

Mrs L. says, "If you want to find your artist inner voice, Frau Legler is your best choice. You can go with any level of experience. I mean, really any, and I mean including zero experience and zero talent and she will show you how your talent is there somewhere, even if you don't know it. There is no criticism, no micromanagement, just guidance and encouragement. To me - she trusted me more than I trusted myself. And that was tremendously helpful. She has an absolutely gorgeous little studio, a very pleasant environment to bring onto the surface any artistic feeling. There is an European flair in the studio and the lessons and there is far more depth in this lady than her website shows. Best teacher you'd want!" Read more

My name is Christina Borraez. I'm a professional in the fashion industry for over 30 years making custom clothing, patternmaker for manufactures, product developer, etc. Around 15 years ago, by chance I started to teach sewing and turned out to be something I love to do. I've taught and still teach all age ranges, many types of skills and techniques. Lessons are usually about 1 1/2 hrs. per session. A schedule can be worked out. The rate is 80.00 per hour for private lessons when I drive to you. When you come to class private lessons run 45.00 per hour. Starting March I'll have small group classes and workshops. Saturday classes for k...

I loved the class. It was a beautiful natural setting. Very peaceful. The teacher, Lark was very sweet and helpful. I wasn't sure if I would like what I made, but in the end, I did. The other people who attended were also very nice and fun.…

I could leave a novel length review regarding how good my experience was with my first round of sessions were with Alfredo. I had absolutely no experience painting with oils prior to my classes. As our sessions went on, Alfredo created snd altered my class structure to accommodate what I needed. He didn't just teach me how to put oils on a canvas, but explained the importance of everything from the care and cleaning of your brushes, materials he recommended all the way to explaining color theory, sketching and more. He has played an integral role in me using art and painting to finding peace and putting smiles on my face. I cant wait to see my progress in our next round of sessions. Not only is Alfredo a great instructor, but hes my mentor and my friend. Hes helped a U.S. Marine Combat Veteran find a way to push an illness aside and use art to be happy. I hope I'm able to attach my paintings below. One is my very first completed painting and one about to be completed, and could not look anything like they do with Alfredo's guidance. They are pieces painted prior from other artists.
