About
Yo Hwan Yoon is an LA-based singer-songwriter, producer, vocal coach, music instructor, and recording artist who has been in the music industry since 2015. He has built his career firmly on teaching pop, R&B, rock, and jazz voices since 2016, specializing in vocal foundation, extending vocal range, perfecting song performance, and vocal stylization. Since 2021, he has taught and directed K-POP idol trainees at the K-Pop Center (KPC) in Buena Park, CA. Throughout his career, he has worked with artists such as Daniel Jikal (Debuted: P Nation in Korea) and Marquise (The Debut: Dream Academy - HYBE x Geffen Records), as well as a number of local songwriters and recording artists. His vision as a vocal teacher is to motivate and guide the student, through his enthusiastic teaching and sincere heart, to become a better artist, performer, and person.
He graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in commercial vocal performance. During his time there, he was a member of the jazz vocal ensemble and Christian music vocal ensemble as a tenor. In 2020, amidst the pandemic, he completed his master's degree in commercial vocal performance at California State University, Los Angeles.
He has been teaching vocal foundations, techniques and singing logically, concisely, and practically so that his students can understand how it works. In the first lesson, more than 90% of my students had a solid understanding of healthy singing methods and were able to practice properly by themselves. He always ensures that his students learn how to sing correctly and incorporate their own style. He evaluates their vocal sound accurately and guides them to improve their singing as effectively as possible. He gets excited when students tell him that their vocals have remarkably improved. He loves seeing them more motivated, enthusiastic, and confident in their singing.
