About this pro

The Spinning® program is not just about exercise. Spinning classes offer a variety of rides, movements, motivational music and coaching that keep riders safe, excited and engaged.

With over 20 years of experience, Spinning has cultivated a program and global community that delivers the highest level of group indoor cycling.

About Rod:

In 2001 the desire to become a stronger cyclist was my motivation to try spinning. I was passionately hooked from that point on. I got certified in 2002 and subbed my first class shortly after. Spinning has improved my cardio, facilitated a speedy recovery from 2 knee surgeries and is an integral part of my training. I am now a Johnny G Star 3 instructor and still very passionate about spinning and cycling. I particularly love working with beginners to make sure that their first spinning experience is safe, exhilarating, instructional and motivational. I incorporate a variety of beat driven music including but not limited to rock, hip hop/urban, industrial, metal, old school dance, electronica, pop etc… Spinning also opened the door for me to a career as a personal trainer and certified Pilates instructor as well. I have been a fitness trainer now for over to a decade and I have helped athletes and non athletes alike achieve their individual fitness goals. Come get your sweat on with me,

Live Long And Perspire!!

I find it most rewarding when I see the look of joy on someones face when they realize how much they have grown their fitness level from the time they started with me.

Love Rod's spin classes. Started going to NuFitPro about a year and half ago and it's a great private gym and Rod is the best!!

Rod Miller is the best spin instructor around. While many instructors simply act as "cheerleaders," Rod actually makes certain that participants are spinning and cycling appropriately in order to get the most out of their "ride" and workout. He also pays close attention to how people are set up on their cycles so that they are spinning correctly. Finally, the music and enthusiasm that Rod brings to the class is awesome and inspirational. I highly recommend his Spin classes!

I had always wanted to start spinning classes and found a great little gym in my neighborhood. Rod was an excellent teacher and took time to show my friend & I how to adjust the bike and walk us thru the basic spinning positions. We became hooked after the first few classes. A really great workout & highly recommend NuFit Pro to try spinning.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I will walk a new student through the basics of the features of the spin bike followed by the basics of setting the bike up for proper fit, once done getting on the bike and explaining and demonstrating the movements to be performed on the bike during a spin class.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a Johnny G star 3 certified spin coach and an ACE certified personal trainer.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Basic drop in rate for a spin class is $15. Discount packages available as well

How did you get started teaching?

I was inspired to take my first spin class soon after one of my bike riding buddies told me that spinning would help make me a stronger cyclist.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with beginners who have never been on a spin bike or any kind of bike for that matter, as well as tri-athletes and iron men.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

My advice would be make sure you find an instructor that will take the time to make sure you are set up properly on the bike to insure that you have an injury free spin experience.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Make sure you inform your instructor of any issues that may have a bearing on your training experience. Also ask about equipment that may be available to enhance your ride thus giving you a better, more productive ride.
