**Soccer Coaching & Playing Experience**

I am Bertin Jacquesson, a 25-year-old professional soccer player currently playing for Oakland Roots, with a strong background in both high-level competition and player development. Alongside my professional career, I have gained extensive coaching experience at the University of Pittsburgh, where I led summer camps and coached groups of 8 to 12 players, focusing on technical skills, game understanding, and fostering a positive learning environment. I have also conducted numerous individual training sessions during my time with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Real Salt Lake between 2022 and 2025, tailoring each session to help players improve specific aspects of their performance.

In addition, I coached a full middle school team in Pittsburgh, which strengthened my leadership, communication, and team management skills. Over the years, I have worked with players from 8 to 21 years old, both boys and girls, and across all levels—from recreational to elite and professional athletes. This wide range of experience has allowed me to develop a flexible and personalized coaching approach, focused on helping each player grow with confidence, discipline, and a deeper understanding of the game.

**French Teaching & Language Development**

Alongside my work in soccer, I offer French lessons as a native speaker, bringing structure, energy, and a personalized approach to language learning. I work with students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to more advanced learners looking to refine their fluency. My teaching focuses on building strong foundations in speaking, listening, and comprehension, while creating an engaging and supportive environment that encourages consistent progress and confidence.

My experience working with diverse age groups in coaching naturally translates into my teaching style, allowing me to adapt lessons to each student’s goals and learning pace. Whether the objective is academic improvement, conversational fluency, or professional use, I design sessions that are both effective and enjoyable. By combining clear instruction with practical application, I help students develop not only their language skills but also the confidence to use French in real-life situations.
