Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process is a preliminary overview where I find out whether the student is new to meditation, intermediate or well versed in their form of practice. I then explain the general overview of our session and what they can expect.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified meditation teacher and have a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy from San Diego State University
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$30 per hour
How did you get started teaching?
Practice, practice, practice!!
What types of students have you worked with?
Females and males ages 50 and under primarily. I also work with children 5+!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A lot of people don't mention safety when they talk about meditation. A good teacher will always talk about safety. Meditation brings up old, forgotten, or deeply held feelings, emotions and thoughts that are accessed by our mind when it becomes still. A good teacher will offer support thru this process during these moments that happen during meditation practice
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Safety, expectations, special accomadations and boundaries.
