About

Core Cat is a small Pilates studio where customized workouts are designed by a master teacher. People of all levels and abilities are welcome including the post-rehab and deconditioned client. We practice kindness and inclusion. Predominantly our classes are one-on-one but we do entertain some duets and even trios.

Teaching Pilates and functional movement never gets old! I delight in sharing new movement patterns and watching clients get strong and confident!

Victoria is an excellent Pilates teacher. Unlike other teachers Ive worked with, working with her has toned me and Ive built muscle. Shes especially good at helping you rehab when youve been injured--shes seen me through a broken foot and post abdominal surgery.

Victoria Kelly at Core Cat Pilates is a treasure! Victoria has a thorough knowledge of Pilates and is an excellent and compassionate teacher. Working with her for the last seven years has dramatically improved my life both physically and mentally. When I have physical difficulties she modifies the sessions to address my problems, almost always with beneficial results. In the past I never really enjoyed physical workouts. Victoria has a way of making exercise fun. Meeting the challenge of Pilates gives me a sense of accomplishment. I’m very glad I found Core Cat Pilates and Victoria Kelly.

Victoria is deeply knowledgable about Pilates and the body. She varies the routine, so I dont get bored. Before each session, Victoria asks how Im feeling and my energy level, and she adjusts my session accordingly. I see results. My mobility is greater; my quality of life is improved. Highly recommend.

Victoria is a very talented teacher who has helped me and improved my life in multiple ways. I highly recommend her. I will also say that Pilates takes patience and commitment but it has become one of the constants for me in wellness and taking care.
I began at Corecat Pilates (and body/mind work) with Victoria close to three years ago. At the time I was a therapeutic client, as driving for more than 15 minutes was painful, hiking seemed unlikely, sometimes standing for long periods was hard. My back pain issues would travel from top to bottom of spine. The juggle of a heavy work schedule and two aging parents needs was affecting both physical and mental health. I did keep at it.
Over 3 years this practice and Victorias skillful approach have exceeded my expectations many times over. Although I still have much room to improve, today Im stronger, more flexible and have done so many strenuous activities in the last three years. I look better in and out of clothes. I walk, hike, drive, travel, paint, and life seems to hold more possibilities. Thank you, VK!

Frequently asked questions

Exploring strengths and limitations, movement patterns and lifestyle trends is an important consideration in developing the prospective client's custom workout.

If a student is going to succeed with the work available in the Pilates studio, they are going to need to fall in love with some (or many!) aspects of it. Helping you find your connection to the goodness is my special talent.

I am certified by Turning Point Studios in Walnut Creek/Balanced Body University, Sacramento in Pilates apparatus and mat instruction. I hold a Bachelor's degree from Ohio University. My background as a modern dancer, yogi and dharma student all deeply influence my teaching style.
