About

We've spent more than 2 decades refining our methods based on this mission:

Create a safe haven of positive energy in which to empower the world...one life at a time.

The dojo offers the chance to create unique training experiences that create a postive ripple in the community. Seeing students achieve personal bests repeatedly is a inspiring, not to mention contagious.

It might have been JFK that said "it is the rising tide that floats & lifts all boats" It is about our peer group and those we associate that support us in making lasting positive change in our lives.

Dojo USA has change my life and the life of my family. With our busy lives we straggle to find time to exercise. My kids are in Karate and My partner and I are to take our classes at the times that are convenient for us. The sense of camaraderie in the Dojo has motivate all of us to exercise and has motivated my kids to more responsible for their own learning in black belt training.

I am so blessed that Dojo USA is in my life. The dojo and specifically Mr. Peter Johnson has transformed my life in so many ways physically, mentally and spiritually. If you want to speak in numbers, I have been a taebo student for 18 years and karate for 10 and those numbers will continue to grow. The training & workouts continously challenge you to be the best you and helps to find your potential you didnt think you might have had. Mr. Johnson (and his instructors) are inspirational and motivating. I continue, daily, look forward to each class.
The dojo is truly a gift.

We are so thankful to be part of DOJO USA. Its a great experience on all levels. I do the Tae Bo there, and I look forward to working out--a great workout--its fun! My husband and kids all do Karate there. Peter and the rest of the instructors are amazing, and through karate my kids have learned not just physical skills, but leadership skills that have helped them achieve in school and in all other areas. The Dojo is a place where you feel like family and get a personal workout that motivates you to keep coming back. Weve been going for 11 years--and look forward to more!

Dojo USA has been literally a life saver for me. Tae Bo is not just a work out its a WORK IN!! Peter has a heart of GOLD. There is no one like him and I mean that. After a class you feel rejuvenated and alive. My son has been at the Dojo for the last 8 years and now a Black Belt. Dojo USA is our extended Famiy :-)

    Frequently asked questions

ALL new students begin with an Orientation program.  Its a no-cost, no-obligation chance to see if we're a good fit for a training relationship.

I have been an Elite TaeBo instructor for almost 20 years, have filmed more than 35 dvd's and have been training in the Martial Arts for 29 years and was promoted to 7th degree Black Belt in 2014.

After orientation students go through a more extensive trial program  to see if our training psychology and community are a great fit for development.

Part of the no-cost Orientation is schedule and tuition review.  We might be the BEST EVER for you, with a good working relationship we're setting each other up to fail.

I helping part-time at the school and was a high school subsitute teacher working on completing my teacher credential.  When the owner said he would close the school I decided to step into a larger leadership role and assume daily duties.  I had developed powerful connections with the current students and rather than see the dojo close, I became head instructor, that was in 1992.

Everyone from budding athletes, to mom's getting back in shape to students with special needs, I try to put the development of the character of the person in the center.

I like to be a catalyst creating and environment where progress growth and change can happen.

We JUST did a Volunteer toy drive and distribution.  It allowed students of Karate and TaeBo kickboxing to volunteer directly in the community serving others and in a few cases made dreams come true !

Don't worry if its, boxing, kickboxing, karate TaeBo, focus on the fit.  You've got a "feeling" when things are right and you have a feeling when things are wrong.  Trust that feeling and be sure to find the right relationship, rapport is key!

Am I will to participate long-term?

How will I respond when I want to stop or go to something else?

You can't train once, its like brushing your teeth, the teacher must encourage you the live the lifestyle.
