I came from a family of "Makers" before it became popular.
I enjoy working with my hands.
Even though in the later years I learned to work with metals, I still love working with Textiles
I enjoy passing on the things I have learned. Giving someone else the opportunity to be creative.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Communication-Finding out what the student wishes to learn, what their experience level is. What can honestly be acheived in what time period
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Sewing - I went to the Fashion Institute in Los Angeles, I grew up sewing from a very young age.
I also taught Textiles at the Tech Shop and in San Jose, CA and other Maker Spaces.
Metal Smithing-This was a skill I picked up when I went to help a friend at their Lapidary Shop. I enjoyed it so much I went an took classes. I took Silver Smithing classes at Revere Academy in San Francisco, Mission Commuenity College and San Jose State. I have also taught Basic Silver Smithing at several Studios in San Jose and the Maker Spaces
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, I charge $30.00 per Hour, per Student.
Minimum - 2 hours time
Plus the cost of any Supplies needed

How did you get started teaching?
I was asked to take over a Basic Silver Soldering Class at the Jewelry Lapiday Shop I was working at. I Student said I did a very good job and I enjoyed it alot.
I was also asked to set up and teach various other classes.
I have also set up and taught an After School Program at an Elemantay School. I have been Finger Printed and had the Back Ground Checked for working with the youth.
I have set up and taught classes at several different Maker Spaces in the Bay Area of CA.
