Do you want to make, repair or restyle your clothing, accessories, and home decor? I’ve been teaching sewing professionally since 2010, and I would love to share my knowledge with you! Private sewing lessons are definitely for you if you’ve been wanting to learn how to sew (or learn how to sew better), but you never seem to be able to make it to a sewing studio or fabric store for group classes. Perhaps you are just more comfortable in one-on-one teaching situations, or maybe you keep crazy hours. If you live in the Washington, DC area, I am very happy to come to you for private sewing lessons, and design a cur ... View Profile

I am an accomplished artist with more than 40 years experience in various paintings media and over 30 years of teaching  students in various levels of proficiency. My students get an exposure to wide variety of techniques and media, but most important they get to trust their own abilities in expressing themselves via their artwork. Every session in my studio is at least three hours. Less than this is not realistic and I am only interested in students that are serious about their art and are willing to dedicate the time and effort it takes to become an artist. ... View Profile

Sewing is my passion, when I look at the garments, I try to figure out how it's sewed, pay attention to any details that may add up to my skills. I have been teaching sewing to absolute beginners since 2016. Most of my students have opened their brand new machines in front of me and did not even know the parts of sewing machine.  I never limit myself to any pattern neither told my students to follow any pattern. I believe that one should be able to take measurements, draft basic patterns and sew it into final garment on their own.  Check live video clips from my classes on my Facebook page https://m.facebook.com/TailoredByFaiza/ ...
