Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to meet with potential clients in person and talk with them about their fitness goals, and if we'll be a good fit working together towards those goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a certified personal trainer since 1997 and have held multiple certifications over the last 24 years. I am currently working on my Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science. I am currently certified by both ACE (American Council on Exercise) and ISSA (International Sports and Science Association) as a personal trainer. I also hold certificates in Fitness Nutrition and also Strength & Conditioning Specialist with the ISSA.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have flexible plans based upon what the client is looking to get from the program, as some are tailored more to working out, but some clients are looking for nutritional information as well.
How did you get started teaching?
I actually first trained to become a personal trainer after I had started working out and noticed a lot of changes in my body as I was originally a lot skinnier and would get people in the gym who noticed my changes what I had done. I got inspired to do more and become a personal trainer to help others.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a lot of military people as I was in the USAF when I first got certified. I have also worked with younger kids and older adults.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently completed a Spartan Stadion Event in July in Anaheim as I hadn't done anything like that for years, but was able to complete the event and had a blast doing it.
