I'm Kenya Moses - a professional vocalist and retired professional dancer with over 20 years performance and teaching experience in Classical, Opera and Brazilian Jazz music, Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary dance; which has allowed me the opportunity to perform throughout the United States, Canada and Italy. I am a UC Berkeley student with 12+ years of personal music training and 3+ years of music teaching experience. I have successfully guided students in piano, singing, sight reading, and music theory for the MTAC Certificate of Merit Exams, ABRSM Exams, and AP Music Theory Exam. As a Bay Area native, I am knowledgable of local music competitions and performance opportunities suitable for you or your student. I am a 67 year singer and vocal coach mainly for Indian classical and non classical singing. Started learning music from age 13 and then after retirement again started at the age of 56. I DO NOT read Western Musical notes but can sing and train old hollywood classics and train the voice with harmonium ( a singing instrument ). My coaching will NOT ONLY tone the vocal but also build a sense of musical composition in the students.
